08.07.08 | CONGRATULATIONS!! TO THE CAST AND CREW OF BREAKING UP AND BOXED IN
Hey IAC and UI members who worked on the first two projects out of IAC, CONGRATULATIONS!

We are pretty excited! Often shorts have a limited life but ours have been doing pretty good :) This weekend two shorts from IAC "Breaking Up" Directed/Written by Jeff Burns and "Boxed In" Directed/Written/Editted by Joy E. Reed will be airing thru out NY! In addition IAC's Michalina Almindo Directed Distractions which will also be a part of the program.

All six episodes of TvFILM will be aired on the statewide educational channel, Think Bright, starting Saturday, August 9th @ midnight!, Get ready for an Indie All-Nighter! Ok, SO maybe thats what TiVos for :)

Think Bright is an educational channel that inspires learning with a wide variety of programs to entertain, educate and enrich Upstate New York and beyond. In the Capital Region, Think Bright is on Time Warner channel 200 or digital channel 17.2.

Congratulations to Michalina!! The short film she Directed DISTRACTIONS had a very successful screening in Beverly Hills at the prestigious Hollywood Black Film Festival and recently won Best Short film at the Trinity Film Coalition in Detroit, Michigan.

05.27.08 | IAC and KOE just making movies and stuff!
Whew!
You know when there are not a lot of updates it's because we are shooting!!! It's hard to keep up!! So here is what's new and exciting at IAC!!!!

Independent Artists Collaborative has continued and will continue to collaborate with Knight Owl Entertainment (Director/Writer/Editor Jeff Knight and his very talented partner Writer/Producer Sheila McClain) We really are blessed to work with such amazingly talented and just awesome artists. As you all know we completed NOIR and it is edited and being sent off to festivals!We will be having some exciting NOIR news coming soon! Also the trailer for LOTUS is being shopped in LA, NY and Japan with very positive interest from distributors. Locations for that shoot will be in Japan and possibly New Mexico.

In the past couple of weeks we shot a trailer for a feature film titled "The Haunted" and are very actively seeking investors in hopes for a July 2008 shoot. We will be shooting it entirely in the Capital District!

04.12.08 | DISTRACTIONS gets accepted to the Hollywood Black Film Festival!
Short film Directed by IAC's Michalina Almindo titled Distractions will be screening at the Black Hollywood Film Festival in June. See link below for more details.

04.02.08 | CONGRATULATIONS TO MATT KEHOE!!
He is an IAC member who worked on a National Geographic project last summer which is premiering next Thursday April 10 at the Bearsville Theater near Woodstock, NY. It premiers on TV Sunday April 13 at 9pm. It's worth checking out. Interesting perspective on how much we-as humans-consume. He said it was a great project to be involved with: lots of fun.

We are thrilled that the first week our doors where open we had auditions for a paid gig and shot our second music video in association with Knight Owl Entertainment for the talented artists James Garrett. We have a 1000 square foot artists loft, high ceilings, hard wood floors and LOTS OF POWER! Available for auditions, rehearsals, build your set, photographers to use for the day or temp shoot, meetings, readings etc. for very affordable rates.

03.20.08 | NEW STUDIO!
BIG NEWS is we just opened the doors to our production office in the Shirt Factory in Kingston, NY. We had been using temporary space at Seven21 Media Center and we hated to leave but with the amount of work we are doing we need a full time space. We have a 1000 square foot Artists Loft in a great building filled with other artists. We also have an in house special effects dept. for more on that visit www.goodgriefmakeup.com . We will be sending out a press release next week. We are very excited about the work we are doing and plan to continue to bring projects to north of New York. We are doing casting, directing, producing, locations, writing ( we have a brilliant script doctor!), editing, reels, duplication, score, sound design, make-up, and can help you crew up your project no matter how big or small. We are committed to making things happen!!
